Our top priority is to deliver high quality performance and the best possible services to customers. Our Customer Service Standards and Agency Targets set out the quality of service, which customers can expect.
Performing well against our Targets and maintaining our Standards is an important part of our relationship with our customers. In order to maintain our high standards, we need to know what we get right as well as what we get wrong.
ISO 9001:2000
ISO 9001:2000 is the International Standard for quality management systems.
We were the first Patent Office in the world to achieve ISO 9001:2000 in our Patents Directorate for the pre-grant patenting process.
Quality is important to us this is why we have a Quality Champion on our Management Board and why we intend to apply the ISO standard throughout the whole Office in the future.
Customer visit programme
Our customer visit programme helps us explore customers’ opinions directly.
This can include their opinions on our service levels, quality issues and any developments which may have affected the way customers work with us.
Practice working groups
We have several working groups enabling customers to discuss issues affecting any aspect of policy or practices with us.
