Recycling and Green Policies

We are committed to managing our estate in a sustainable manner in line with the UK Government Sustainable Development Strategy . As part of this, we will address social, economic and environmental issues when taking decisions and aim to reduce, the impact that our operations have on the environment.

Environmental Policy

Our Environmental Policy sets out our aims for the continual improvement of our environmental performance.

Grounds Maintenance

Our approach to Grounds Maintenance is designed to benefit the local biodiversity.

Recycling

We aim to minimise our waste by reduction, re-use and recycling methods, sending our waste to landfill as a last resort.

We recycle:

• white and mixed paper
• plastic bottles
• glass
• aluminium cans
• cardboard
• metal and
• fluorescent lighting

A local community project, Newport Wastesavers, collects and recycles the majority of our waste.

We donate surplus office furniture, racking, file boxes and IT equipment to charitable and voluntary organisations.
