Restoring
If you miss a renewal date, we will cancel your rights. However, you may be able to restore your rights using the appropriate forms and paying a fee.
Designs
You can ask us to restore your design within 1 year of the design ceasing. Send us form DF29, supported by evidence, and pay a fee. If you are successful, you must send us form DF30 and pay the fee for this, and send us form DF9A and all outstanding renewal fees.
Patents
You can ask us to restore your patent within 19 months of the patent cancellation. Send us form 16, supported by evidence, and pay a fee. If you are successful, you must send us all outstanding renewal fees.
Trade marks
You can ask us to restore your trade mark within 1 year of the trade mark ceasing. Send us form TM13, supported by evidence, and pay a fee and all outstanding renewal fees.
