Harmonisation of Substantive Patent Law
Since 2004 industrialised countries have been meeting to discuss possible harmonisation of substantive patent law - the B+ process.
In preparation for a plenary meeting
of the countries involved, to take place
in September, a draft "policy intents paper 
(67Kb)" and a "discussion
guide (16Kb)" had been
developed.
A consultation meeting, at which views in response
were presented,
took place in our London Office on 8 September. A note of that meeting (76Kb) is available. The views expressed at this consultation meeting informed the UK position at the plenary meeting in
Geneva on 21 September. The chair’s report (15Kb) of that meeting is available.
